Please do not mistake Gavée Gold for using nano or colloidal particles of gold. Gavée Gold is free of metal and toxins, unlike many gold infused products on the market today.
Sub-particles of metal: Nano-particles of metal or colloidal. Health concerns: bone growth and development, learning disabilities, fatigue, poor task performance, irritability, anxiety, high blood pressure, weight loss, increased susceptibility to infection, ringing in the ears, decreased cognitive functioning an concentration, and spelling skills, headaches, gastrointestinal problems, constipation, nausea, and joint pain and tremors and overall general decreased immune functioning.
Parabens: Methl, ethyl, propyl and butyl – Are endocrine disrupters and absorbed through the skin. Health concerns: may alter hormone levels, increasing certain types of cancer, impaired fertility, alters development of a fetus, animal studies show brain and nervous system effects.
Phthalates: Endocrine disrupting chemicals used to make plastics pliable. These are banned in the European Union.
Dibutyl phthalate: Neurotoxin and endocrine disruptor.
Diethyhexyl phthalate: Health concerns: Immune system toxicant, reproductive toxin, respiratory toxicant, neurotoxin, carcinogen and endocrine disruptor.
Petrolatum: Is an ingredient that can be contaminated with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons that may cause cancer. Health concerns: contamination with impurities, linked to cancer, can cause ADD/Dyslexia symptoms, may be carcinogenic, causes dry skin, may cause dizziness and respiratory toxins.
Propylene Glycol: Is an active component of antifreeze. Health concerns: is an active component in antifreeze, it quickly penetrates the skin, causes abnormalities to the brain, liver and kidney.
Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate: Used as detergents and surfactants, these compounds are found in car wash soaps, garage floor cleaners and engine degreasers. Health concerns: Skin irritant, rapidly absorbed into the heart, liver, brain, and eyes. Linked to cataracts in adults and inhibiting proper development in children’s eyes.
Polyethylene glycol: (Pegs) Used in cleansers to dissolve oil grease, caustic oven cleaners as well as thicken products. Health concerns: known carcinogenic, contributes to stripping natural moisture factor, leaving the system vulnerable.
DEA – Diethanolamine: Is a pH adjuster, hormone disrupting chemicals and human carcinogen. Health concerns: human immune and respiratory toxicant, human skin toxicant, organ system toxicity, developmental reproductive toxicity and irritant to skin, eyes and lungs, and known to form cancer causing nitrates.
MEA – Monoethanolamine: Hormone disrupting chemicals and human carcinogen. Health concerns: known to form cancer causing nitrates and nitrosamines as well as organ toxicity, reproductive toxicity and irritant to skin, eyes, and lungs.
TEA – Triethanolamine: Hormone disrupting chemicals and human carcinogen. Health concerns: these are hormone disrupting chemicals and toxic to the immune system carcinogen cancer causing, skin irritant, may affect the brain and nervous system and may trigger asthma.
Hydroquinone: Is an active drug ingredient that is banned as unsafe for use in cosmetics. Health concerns: immune system and respiratory toxicant, neurotoxin, carcinogen.
Methylisothiazonone: Is a widely used preservative. Health concern: immune system toxicant, neurotoxicity, may have potentially damaging consequences to a nervous system.
Methylchloroisothaizolinone: Is a widely used preservative. Health concerns: immune system toxicant, neurotoxicity, may have potentially damaging consequences to a nervous system.
BHA: Fragrance ingredient, masking. Health concern: used as a preservative, human toxicant, may cause cancer.
BHT: Used as a fragrance ingredient, masking. Health concerns: used as a preservative, may cause cancer.
Formaldehyde-releasing preservatives: Preservatives. Health concerns: slowly releasing amounts that cause cancer.
Synthetic Fragrances: Deodorant, masking, perfuming. Health concerns: trigger allergies and asthma, some are linked to cancer and neurotoxicity.
Mineral Oil: Is a liquid mixture of hydro carbon obtained from petroleum. Health concerns: natural immune barrier, slows down skin function and normal cell development, can promote acne and skin disorders.
